September 28, 2012 - Orange Beach, Ala. (OBA) – Eddie and Sharon Woerner of Flippers Restaurant are raising money for breast cancer. This endeavor is not to be “socially” responsible but it is an event that comes from the heart.
It is called "Flipping For Ta Tas" a cure for breast cancer at Flippers at Bear Point Marina in Orange Beach on the East end of Canal Road.
It will be Oct. 6 from noon-7 p.m. Paula Taylor , Eddie and Sharon’s daughter with Cold Mil Fleet also located at Bear Point Marina, is co-hosting this event with Flippers Restaurant.
They are co-sponsoring this event as a family affair because Paula was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and her sister, the Woerner’s second daughter, Brenda Cook, lost her battle with breast cancer in February of 2004.
Brenda was the mother of four of Eddie & Sharon’s grandchildern. Take your family to Flippers Restaurant at Bear Point Marina and have lunch or dinner on the dock, support the cure for breast cancer and give encouragement to one of our local families.
