GULF SHORES, AL – Shooting suspect Jermaine Trevel Cungious turned himself in today, charged with felony assault 2nd degree and reckless endangerment. Cungious, 18-years old of Bay Minette, became the target of the investigation and ultimate manhunt in connection with a shooting on the Spring Break beaches of Gulf Shores April 16th.

Gulf communities’ message to BP: Restoration is far from over | AL.com

Now BP wants to use the hard work and unflagging spirit of Gulf Coast residents as a justification for abandoning their responsibilities to the Gulf. In his recent op-ed for this paper explaining why BP feels it has done enough for the Gulf, company President John Mingé said that “no company has done more to help a region recover after an industrial accident” than BP.

Spring Break Ends On A Soggy Note

GULF SHORES, Alabama – Spring Break is wrapping up for thousands of students in Mobile and Baldwin Counties and their families and it was certainly not the best vacation weather this week. It rained at the beach for three days, forcing many vacationers to find indoor activities. Shops, restaurants and movie theaters were busy when the weather was rough. Beach businesses like the rain- it drives in customers and profits.
